[Dstar] IC-2820H question Dual Digital RX

I have a IC-2820H which has the main and sub bands.  When in digital modes the band not used as the main is muted.
Is there a setting either by software or via the front panel that allows you to monitor 2 sets of signals so you can say listen (in real time) to both 2 meter and 70cm repeater, or any other frequencies.  I have read the manual but I can not find any specific advice regarding this - can any one help - or can the digital module in the radio only able to process one frequency at a time?
