Hi,

 

Here's the latest news from the D-Star world.

 

- G2 Gateway Upgrade Postponed.

 

After talking with Icom US and the G2 Trust Server team it has been decided
to postpone the upgrade of the VK3RWN Gateway until further notice.

 

The G2 Trust Server team have been working long hours with the Japanese Icom
software developers to fine tune the G2 Trust Server parameters. Although
there has been a big improvement they feel more work needs to be done with
the operational performance of the G2 system before it is put into full
production. Work on fine tuning will continue to obtain better performance
from the systems. 

 

When the G2 Trust Server team announces the system is ready we will set a
new date for the cutover of VK3RWN to G2.

 

Due to the time delay with the expected cut-over, registrations for the
current G1 system will recommence.

 

- High Speed Digital data to be commissioned.

 

I have now received the filters for the VK3RWN 23cm Digital Data repeater.
The filters will be installed over the coming weekend and the 23cm DD
repeater switch on for testing. For those of you with ID-1s you will need to
set up your PC with the IP address you have been allocated as part of your
registration. More information on the ID-1 configuration for DD will be
