[Dstar] Question about Reflectors

...but it wouldn't be hard to have some canned words ready to be
transmitted, similar to the existing DPLUS announcements. Ideally you
would have the alphabet in phonetics with some other key words, like
numerals, recorded as well.
With my idea, in response to a UR of "_______Q" the gateway DPLUS
software could "speak" something like this, "currently connected to
reflector zero zero one port bravo" or in the case of DPLUS being
connected to another gateway "currently connected to gateway kilo kive
tango india tango port alpha".
Maybe DPLUS could occasionally transmit this info as well, maybe after
some idle time. I've got no idea how easy this would be to implement
into the DPLUS software, but I can see this kind of enhancement being
very helpful for those without access to a PC and internet connection
(eg while mobile or portable) to get an idea of where their local D-Star
repeater and gateway is connected.
