[Dstar] IC-91AD not transmitting while on the charger???!!!

So you cn purchase a plug to fit the jack on the IC-91AD instead of Icom's
expensive cigarette lighter adapter to power
the 91AD via its external dc power jack? They do not drop the voltage to
11vdc or condition the dc line. That is interesting to
know ... thanks.
Did you have the battery installed during transmissions?
