G'day,
I'm pleased to announce that the Gold Coast D-Star repeater VK4RGC is
now installed and is being commissioned.
All Digital Voice ports on 2mtr. 70cm and 23cm are operational as well
as the 23cm Digital Data and the D-Star Gateway.
You are welcome to use VK4RGC however remember that as the system is
being commissioned / tested there will be times when it will be
unavailable for general use.
If you are in the Brisbane / Gold Coast area you can register for VK4RGC
D-Star Gateway access by following the instructions at
http://www.dstar.org.au/registration.htm It is very important that you
follow the instructions on the web page as your registration will not be
processed if you're application is not correct. Select VK4RGC from the
pull down list at the bottom of the page to register on VK4RGC.
A Big Thank You must go to the members of the Gold Coast D-Star team who
worked hard to get the D-Star repeater on air. A special thank you must
go to Andrew VK4OX who has put countless hour of work and some of his
own finances in to the project.
I would also like to thank Icom Australia, the WIA, Kyle Communications,
RF Communications, Southern Cross Ten, Sea FM / Gold FM and the Gold
Coast Amateur Radio Society for their generous sponsorship of The D-Star
VK4RGC repeater.
There will be an official launch of D-Star at the Gold Coast Amateur
Radio Society club rooms this Saturday. See

Welcome SE Queensland to D-Star.
