Gday,
For those of you in SE Queensland who are new to D-Star here are a few
notes that you should know about.
D-Star repeater operations is a new and very different from conventional
FM repeater operations with callsign, node, gateway and reflector
linking and routing. Please be patient and learn the new system and how
to operate it for the fun and enjoyment of all.
Note that one of the most important changes in operational practice for
D-Star is that you MUST leave at least a 4 second break between overs.
You can get a lot of good operational information on D-Star repeaters
from www.dstar.org.au
VK4RGC port C (2mtr port) is permanently linked to reflector REF003 port
C, the Australian D-Star reflector. This will allow all station on
VK4RGC C and VK3RWN C to chat to each other without the need of callsign
routing.
Port B of all repeaters is not linked, it is use for local, callsign
and node routing communications.
Regards
Richard
