If anyone would like to see some early photos from the Dayton Hamvention
Dan, KI4IFW, (author of the D-RATS software) has placed some of his
photos from the opening day (Friday) on his web site. Friday is
traditionally the quiet day and things will get busy on Saturday (their
time).

Dan is demonstrating his D-RATS software as part of the Icom D-STAR 3rd
Party Applications booth. During the Hamvention Dan is linking his
demonstration D-RATS system to my D-RATS Repeater, which is being
transmitted across VK3RBA B. The link is normally running from about
8:00pm until 7:00am Aust East Standard Time. Any D-RATS messages
transmitted across VK3RBA B will also be relayed out on the D-RATS
system at the Hamvention and Dan has said they would love to see some
more messages from Down Under.

If you are out of radio range for VK3RBA B and have internet access you
can configure D-RATS to talk to: net:www.daves-portal.com:9000 where
you normally specify the serial port to see all of the activity.

Another fun web site to look at is: http://www.w5kub.com/ which is
streaming live video from the Dayton Hamvention and they also have their
portable camera / transmitter as they wander around. The camera lens
hasn't broken yet, so I'm guessing they haven't seen Jeff or Lionel so
far...
