Well, not trying to bag DSTAR per se, however, I think it has been a tad
oversold in the data transfer dept..... I do wonder whether the DD mode is
still as relevant today as it may have been when it was first designed, as
much has happened in the WI-Fi world. 128kilobits sounds great when compared
to the old packet speeds but since it has no multiple access and Wifi links
can be 100 times faster (albeit much lower power) with many stations able to
interconnect I wonder where exactly it will fit.
