[Dstar] D-Star - News Update

Hello,

 

Here is a D-Star repeater update:

 

VK3RWN:

There was a long power outage at the VK3RWN site today which caused problems
for the D-Star repeater.

 

The RF side of the repeater was reset and is working ok, however there are
problems with the Gateway server which is currently offline. It will take
some time to sort out the gateway problem and bring it back online.

 

The good news is that the 23cm DD and 23cm DV modules have been
re-installed. The 23cm DV module has been retuned and the receive
sensitivity improved. The 23cm DD module was also tested but the receive
sensitivity was not changed. 

 

Any reports on the performance of the 23cm DV module would be welcome.

 

VK5RWN:

Just to advise that the AREG D-Star team have attended at the site and have
rebooted the VK5RWN Gateway server and all seems to be running OK. It was
off due to site power failure.

 

When the Gateway server power is fed from the 12 volts ups, this should not
be a problem.
