Hi Everybody,

I'm spending a week in Adelaide and have packed my DV Node Adapter in my
gadget bag!
I hope to get it up on air from my temporary QTH in Kensington Gardens
using the 145.1125 MHz simplex D-Star frequency running 5W. I'm hoping
that this frequency will be clear from non D-Star traffic. I can use any
of the three D-Star simplex frequencies listed in the 2m band plan.

It won't be on the air all the time 'cause my only connection to
broadband speeds will be with my NextG mobile phone and I only have a
300mb browsing pack.
At a minimum, I want to get it up and going at 1030 on Monday morning in
time for the Ozark Mountain D-Star Net and will also be playing with it
on and off during the evenings.
I will be listening to the VK5RSB 70cm repeater while running the D-Star
Hot Spot software. I don't think my phone can receive phone calls while
a data connection is in progress, but my mobile number is 0408427479.

If any Adelaide D-Star users hear it on air and want to give it a go,
set the URCall to CQCQCQ, RPT1 and RPT2 can be left blank and MYCall set
to your own call.
The D-Star Hot Spot software uses linking and unlinking commands similar
to Dplus. eg. setting URCall to "REF001CL" will link the D-Star Hot Spot
software to Reflector One port C... URCall set to "VK3RWNCL" will link
it to the VK3RWN 2m port... Seven spaces and a 'U', " U" will
unlink. The D-Star Hot Spot software will key up after each received
D-Star transmission and report it's status.

Regards,
Michael.
