Patrick,
Thanks for your input. Now I'm just waiting for the poison pen
letters to start coming out. Even VK5ZEA that runs the VK5REX there in Port
Lincoln (the other independent D-Star repeater) has a query on the distance
that VK3RWW is getting a distance of 200 kilometers from Sheperaton which
is about half way to Sydney. I didn't send this to you but should have. See
attached. It's a reply to James there in Sydney. It's just about VK2RWN but
just about the same for others as well.

I agree with horst, it's good having updates but don't tell us what we
already know. We might have to start calling Richard Captain Obvious!

And on another point instead of sending out sometimes useless informational
updates, why not spend some time and invest it in the WIA d-star network and
get this things that are NOT working, to work once again? I think that
would be time well spent.

Hi Horst,

Many people find the update information useful.

In regards to DV Dongles and the Dashboard, the DV Dongle access will be
restored once the admin team are satisfied that the router issues are fixed
and the router is stable. The Dashboard for VK2RWN is normally available
from http://www.dstar.org.au/dashboard.htm however the issue with the router
is limiting and sometimes stoping the updates to the VK2RWN dashboard.

You will need to ask the Manly-Warringah Radio Society D-Star team about the
time frame for the 23cm repeater.

Cheers
Richard
