Yep. Thought I'd try and clear up some misconceptions about DV and
its low speed data channel.

I think the issues will be cultural. Mixed mode repeaters (e.g.
FM/P25) do work well in commercial circles, because commercial
systems are typically shared by groups that have no association with
each other, so one group working FM and one using P25 isn't a
problem. It works much like a system that uses different CTCSS for
each user group. Amateurs are a different lot, and want to be able
to monitor and utilise the frequency when they feel like
it. Amateurs are not distinct groups (though sometimes it seems like it!).

Good luck! You might have to ask around overseas also, as there's
been a bit of reverse engineering done. :)
