Well, I have certainly ruffled a few feathers with my simple question.
Incidentally, perhaps I missed it through all that QRM, but I didn't
actually see an answer.
The people involved seem to be more interested in telling about their
herculean efforts to get/keep the system going than just answering a simple
question.
I know for a fact that the 23cm system which supposedly would be the
mainstay for the Sydney area has never had an antenna plugged in after
nearly a year. As for cavities which may be hard to obtain (I doubt that),
the DD module does not actually need one.
By the way, one thing I can not be accused of is never lifting a finger to
make things happen.
That's all I will say.
