[Dstar] ID-1 23cm radio's - DV and DD modes?

Hello Horst,
With the ID-1 (23cm) radio – what stations are you talking to locally, either on DV or DD (if I may ask). Do you also have a repeater in Sydney for that band / mode[s]. It’s just that over here in ZL, we will be looking at 23cm DV / DD shortly and curious as to your thoughts and experience with the ID-1 radio. I see it is rated for 10 watts output... It could easily be combined with a SSPA to 150 ~250 watts TX output, more so with directional antennas 23 dBI gain, for direct communication either with local or distance stations (100 to 200km direct) or to others via a local repeater. Many of us, over here in ZL are interested in learning more about D-Star and the radio’s itself. Maybe others may comment if they wish.

I have 4 of them... IC91AD, ID800H, IC2820, ID-1...also a DV-Dongle
So... which one should I hold for you until you save up?
