Just cut.  In most mail software, shift-down-arrow selects lines at a
time that can then be typed over.  Handy.

The moderator of this list has asked for replies to be trimmed as a
general rule.  If there are any readers who don't understand what this
is all about, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style is a
fascinating read.

And if you read your mail over DD, you'd really want it to be small to
keep the air time down.
