Me, d-star admin, or the ACMA? hi hi, that's how it is.

Hence my comment; ¨Unless a server(s) is set-up on the gateway machine
(Intranet), DD is not
going to provide much if any functionality for the user.¨

Not sure what you mean here Mark, what, collected from where?
23cm DD module is a rps half duplex connection in any case, and its not
a repeater as such, but just a access point to a server(enabled with
repeater controller windows usb config software) or internet node, the
later not LCD compliant, so disabled.
The gateway machine would need eg: port 110 isp access to user isp
accounts to retrieve and then place on a Intranet server,
which is possible, but unlikely to occur.
A generic hotmail type retrieve system with users having the same email
format, may be the easiest solution for email server set-up.
There is no user DD connectivity to other users outside the local
system, via the 23cm DD module, like as in DV mode.
I think Richard VK3JFK and David VK3UR set-up an impressive server
system on VK3RWN AD, not sure if it is still active or not.
I think this type of setup was, hoped to be shared with other WIA 23 cm
DD systems.
