[Dstar] Connecting via a dongle

Hi Heath

Well at first it was a big disappointment as I could not get it to process
the audio in a local digital loop. No matter what I tried it just would not
work so I could not contemplate trying to connect to a station. Then I found
out about the non-Java version of DVTools and from there on it was 100%
success! Everything worked like a charm and reports from other stations were
very good.

So all is going well thanks.

Regards,

Howard

Howard,

How are things going with the DVDongle? Sounds like it arrived ok.

I have ordered more so that i have plenty in stock if you know of anyone
else who is interested in purchasing one. I will be purchasing these on an
ongoing basis so that there is an Australian source.

Regards,

Heath

I have just hooked up a DV Dongle and installed DVTool-2 software. All the
configuration tests are fine and I can connect to VK4RWN without any
problems. Trouble is the command window on the PC shows that I have logged
in OK but not authorized to transmit. Also I do not hear anything even
though the gateway info window shows there have been other station
connections while I have been connected.

I can't find anywhere on DVTools-2 to insert a password so wonder what I
need to do to get transmit permission?

This is my first excursion into D-Star so I am a little lost and will
appreciate any guidance that is offered.

Howard
