Tony, presuming by min DIN you mean the same sort of plugs found on the pre 
USB mouse and keyboards? If so, the keyboard/mouse extension cables are a 
good cheap option so that you don't have to melt them when trying to solder 
them. The extension cables usually have all wires connected - whereas some 
mouse and keyboard plugs do not (which can be mildly annoying if you assumed 
they were all connected at the plug).
