My Mistake, I misread the line about registering and for some reason read it
as Echolink rather than D-Star. I must be losing it. HiHi.

Who said anything about connecting Echolink or IRLP to
D-STAR? Jack's proposal was for a D-STAR only system, to interact
with the rest of the D-STAR network, so no legal issues there. Echo,
IRLP or analog FM doesn't come into contact with D-STAR.
