Well, I'm glad you got that off your chest, you hardworking backgrounder.
The fact is, the very few people that use the local repeaters (don't know
where the rest went, but I have a theory), don't like the message, it cuts
across at odd times and may well cause as many "crashes" as it tries to
prevent by confusing people and talking over the top of them.
What's so hard about turning it off, since no other repeater in the world
seems to have it, or is it a "power thing" that you just have to do it
because "you can".

on another subject, we still have a few 23cm repeaters gathering dust that
seem to have been overlooked by the "backgrounders"
