WICEN is investigating new approaches such as a web-based system for Rally Control. This is to reduce the enormous effort required to produce the Rally Control centre using our traditional methods and communications. A web based control system is aimed to reduce set up time once it is designed and proven. It will be quicker by far and allow more flexibility for future events, both rally and real emergencies. No we have not forgotten what happens if the web is down. Lots of new thoughts are being thrown around for consideration but we do need your suggestions, and help, if WICEN SA is to remain viable and able to support useful training exercises like the rally. WICEN needs people to fill the positions of President, Vice-President and Secretary. There are also openings for additional committee members. Thankyou to Mike Turner VK5AMT and Paul Hoffmann VK5PH for their work, and Allan McKendrick VK5FAMK for helping as membership secretary. Please consider serving in an official position in WICEN SA . The caretaker committee needs to know if we have your support for taking part in the rally this year.
